Been Part of My Story
Hi, I’m Diane — a Florida native, lifelong ocean lover, and the founder of Crabby Mermaid®.
My connection to the water began on Anna Maria Island, the first beach I ever stepped onto and the place where some of my earliest memories were made.
Since then, the ocean has followed me from Florida and the Keys to Hawaii, the Caribbean, the Bahamas and coastlines across Europe. Whether I’m swimming, kayaking, scuba diving, shelling or simply sitting beside the water, it’s where I feel most at home.

How Crabby Mermaid Began
After leaving the corporate world in 2021, I knew I wanted whatever came next to feel different. I wanted to build something around the things I genuinely loved — the ocean, travel, coastal jewelry and marine life.
Larimar and eco-friendly cork were part of Crabby Mermaid from the beginning. The collection has grown since then, but the heart of the business has stayed remarkably simple.
